Senior Data Analyst

Our Data Analytics Team focus on humanizing big data, be a bridge between the technical and operational (market) side of business and to use data in order to align with strategic goals.

We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated data analyst to support function of Platform Quality & Safety.

Get to know the Role:

• An analytics role that specifically partners with one of Grab’s regional functions that looks after the quality and safety of our customers.

• Provide visibility on platform quality and safety to regional and country teams through metric measurements and insights.

• Create and design business intelligence reports and performance measurement dashboards.

• Build, design and innovate data products and decision-guiding frameworks for data-driven actions that continuously improves driver quality and safety.

• Develop cross-domain and cross-functional knowledge about Grab's business, products and operations through working with vast volumes of data.

• Develop and uphold best practices with respect to change management, documentation and data protocols.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor degree in Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 3+ years of experience in data-centric role, with strong working knowledge in SQL, Python and object-oriented programming languages.

• Experience with building applications and implementing MVC or similar design patterns.

• Cognizant of best practices related to programming, building scalable applications and SQL performance tuning.

• Experience with working with Presto is a plus.

• Experience with Tableau or similar BI tools.

• Strong problem solver, able to investigate and resolve issues independently.

• Able to work under pressure and deliver work arounds quickly to ensure business as usual.

• Analytical and independent problem solver. Meticulous with high attention to detail.

• Strong communicator with ability to switch hats between data/technical speak and business/layperson speak.
