Get to know the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Content Design manager to lead and develop the team that “designs with words” the app and website experiences for Grab’ customers. The Content Design manager should possess strong UX writing skills themselves and have experience working alongside researchers, engineers, and product managers. This is an opportunity to create the premier content design team in Southeast Asia.
The Day-to-Day Activities:
Oversee and manage the day-to-day delivery of source content writing (in English) and translation for Grab’s mobile app, web, product and customer service experiences.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure content designers are integrated into the product development process.
Ensure content quality by providing formal critique, coaching,and training.
Cultivate a team culture of peer feedback and open collaboration.
Develop and implement best practices to make source content writing and translation, easier, faster, and more enjoyable for writers, designers, and engineers.
Ensure all written content is delivered in the Grab voice.
Maintain high-levels of operational excellence through clear communication and timely delivery.
Guide content designers to apply appropriate insights from user research to designs.
Create an environment of continuous learning and professional development.
The Must-Have's:
Passion for improving the quality of life for everyone in Southeast Asia
Track record of successfully managing a team of writers and/or designers to deliver a unified experience
Relevant experience working with designers, product managers, researchers, and engineers
Outstanding UX writing and editing skills in English
Experience applying different voice and tone for different audiences, and coaching other people to do so too
Easily collaborate using remote collaboration tools
Take initiative, anticipate problems, and enable your team to develop solutions
Strong time management and prioritisation skills and experience teaching those skills to others
Understand how to measure the success of your team and operate the team for continuous improvement
Ability to resolve issues diplomatically

Your previous teams would call you “the best manager I’ve ever had.”
Writing and editing skills in Simplified Chinese or one of the Southeast Asian languages
Experience in eCommerce, financial services, or tech startup environments
