Safety & Security Business Partner (Myanmar)

The Security and Safety Team is your partner of choice! Internally, the team works with other stakeholders to design, enforce and execute policies and standards to ensure the security of our people, our data and our assets. Externally, we support the organisation in developing and shaping all safety-related aspects of our platform. I guess you can say we have a finger in many pies!

About Grab’s Security and Safety Team

Grab’s Security and Safety team supports the organization across multiple geographies and business units. We plan, execute and enforce policies and standards to ensure the security of our people, facilities and other key assets, both physical and informational. We are responsible for all safety-related aspects of the platform, through continual development and innovation to the business processes, policies and products. We also help influence the overall strategic direction of the company by supporting the top management with safety insights and advisory.

If being constantly on the move and problem solving excite you, this is the role for you. Successful candidates will work on multi-dimensional projects, with our regional teams, and external partners to tackle real-time issues.

IN YOUR ROLE AS A BUSINESS PARTNER, YOU WILL:

· Lead the safety function in your country cluster;

· Steer leadership and management teams along the organization’s safety mission and principles;

· Develop overarching safety strategies and management plans;

· Implement internal and external user safety policies and processes;

· Understand the respective country’s business objectives and provide safety advisory and solutioning;

· Engage the product team to continually innovate on the safety features of app;

· Actively monitor the safety KPIs within your country cluster and develop early preventive measures;

· Develop safety training content and programs targeted at driver partners;

· Develop and implement monitoring system for safety incidents;

· Conduct regular training and exercises to strengthen internal incident response capabilities and crisis resiliency;

- Assist with the operational security in the country, including company staff, assets and operations

· Create a safety audit roadmap premising on industry best practices and recommendations from safety accreditation bodies;

· Be a passionate advocate for road safety for both users and drivers.

AS OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE, YOU HAVE:

· Minimally bachelors degree - 6+ years of experience;

· An analytical mindset with ability to present and execute on actionable findings;

· Critically understand quantitative and qualitative patterns that are associated with safety trends;

· An ability to develop a variety of complex policies and procedures with minimal guidance to prevent and mitigate safety risks;

· Strategic mindset in thinking about the bigger picture and how we can improve as a company;

· Proven conflict resolution skills;

· Calm in the eye of the storm;

· Possess excellent problem solving/decision making, communication and interpersonal skills;

· A strong judgment and moral compass;

· Executive presence to be able to influence leaders across the organization;

· A proven project leadership and resource management experience;

· An ability to work cross-functionally, independently or virtually in a minimally structured and fast-paced environment;

· Self-motivated to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to meet deadlines;

· Proficiency in productivity tools (email, calendar, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Solid spoken and written communication skills;

· An ability to manage investigations, some complex and highly sensitive, individually or as part of a team covering all areas of the business;

· Stay current on industry and governmental regulations, and develop strong relationships with law enforcement, government or private sector counterparts;

· Customer service orientated;

· Direct experience in implementing and managing physical and information security systems useful

· Passion to ensure a safe ride experience for all our passengers and drivers;

· Be traveling on a regular and/or ad hoc basis (expect more than 5 days per month;

· Security, law or traffic regulatory, safety/ crisis/ risk management background;

· Experience in engaging across Asian markets and cultures;

· Start-up experience a plus;

· Support management experience a plus;

· Existing network of private and public sector contacts.
