Own, Define and manage risk policies and processes relating to the prevention of fraud within the lending portfolio
Conduct investigations either individually or as part of a team into emerging fraud typologies, work with analytics and data science to implement solutions
Collaborate with other Risk Policy Managers to develop and drive the lending fraud prevention framework such as consumer risk, merchant risk and country risk managers
Optimise risk rules and processes to monitor high risk applications while minimising false positives and manual reviews
Act as a mentor to operational risk teams, regularly providing training and feedback on how to conduct efficient and effective investigations i.e preventing identity theft
Own data for your domain. Perform monitoring, investigations, deep dives and forensics
Report facts to senior management in a clear, concise and data-driven manner
Act as lending fraud subject matter expert towards the rest of the risk team as well as other company functions such as product, marketing and business development
The must haves:
At least 4 years of relevant risk management experience working within lending or financial services, Fintech experience is a plus
Hands-on experience with fraud detection tools e.g. transaction monitoring, scoring models and risk engines
Hands on experience in dealing with transaction authorisation models and design of policies based on such models
Structured, factual and data-driven. Ability to deep dive into data then elaborate clear and synthetic insights
Problem-solving, positive and constructive attitude is a must
Comfort in dealing with ambiguity and operating in fast-changing, hyper growth environments
