Overview

The Privacy Engineering team is currently part of the Information Security Group, the key mission of the Privacy Engineering team is to make Grab the trusted choice. We identify, analyze, evaluate, treat and monitor Privacy risk arising from internal projects, external procurement of product and services, also continually review partnerships and joint ventures.

Main responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of business unit, public policy, safety policy, legal, engineering, design, product marketing, research and communications, to develop new privacy and transparency products along with improvements, to ensure we are constantly evolving how we out serve our user
  • Provide input on proposed and upcoming privacy-related projects for Grab company • Responsible for assisting with the management of the data privacy, data protection, data usability, performance and the integrity of the privacy solution.
  • Identify areas of improvement in local practices relative to managing data privacy.
  • Perform regular privacy assessments of operational processes, identifying, and mitigating risks across the company through effective tools, training and guidance

Experience & Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience working in privacy and/or transparency product management
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or Law
  • Experience and knowledge of Privacy Risk in systems and processes
  • Proven experience leading large cross-functional teams and vendor management
  • CIPM or familiar, knowledge of data protection law is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to balance risks in ambiguous and complex situations
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills, for example; leading or contributing to regional and multi-functional teams
  • Able to highlight Privacy risk to internal and external partners across Grab.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience handling input from stakeholders.
