GFSA team is responsible for end to end conceptualization, design, development, execution and ongoing management of all lending activities in its focus markets and segments.
Get to know the Role:
Regional Operational Risk Senior Lead is accountable for framework, quantitative and qualitive measurements of operation risk areas, and fraud mitigation actions. The team member works closely with Country Operation team, Regional Risk team, Country Risk team and Finance Business planning team to ensure appropriateness of framework to monitor operation risk, to compliance regulatory and to mitigate impacts on Grab lending. The individual joining in this position will have the unique opportunity to rapidly grow professionally as the team embarks on this new journey across all aspects of the operational risk framework, from data integrity, to systems, reporting to compliance.
The day-to-day activities:
- Jointly, along with Regional Risk Head owns the operational risk framework of whole portfolios (Consumer and MSME).
- Optimize operation frameworks on execution, delivery and processes management, prevent internal/external fraud, damage control and avoid business disruption and system failure
- Established sound governance around Basel II requirements.
- Continuous advocate and improve the usage of operational risk metrics align with Grab’s Risk Appetite.
- Develop operational risk models and deliver solutions, including BCA (basic indicator approach), SA (standard approach) and AMA (advanced measurement approach).
- Work closely with Operation and IT team to improve system and infrastructure.
- Preparation of consolidated review materials for senior management and presenting them at senior forums.
The must haves:
- A Master’s degree/Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum 8+ years relevant work experience in operational risk, Basel II, and fraud detection related role and Lead a team of at least 2-3 members for a minimum of 2+ Years
- Expert in Operational Risk framework with the usage of analytics
- Strong interpersonal skills with highly developed capacity to influence related business stakeholders
- Expertise in verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyse significant amount of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-motivated and independent learner who is willing to share knowledge with the team
- Detail-oriented and efficient time manager who thrives in a dynamic and dynamic working environment.
Good to have:
- Proficiency in both English and Local Language.
- Technical expertise regarding Basel models.
- Have experience in operational risk in banking industry.
