Responsible for consolidation of Group Financials in accordance with IFRS and Group Financial Statements
Responsible for review of entity reporting to ensure compliant with Group Accounting Policies which includes balance sheet review and perform analytical review, including commentaries on material changes for review with management and FP&A.
Responsible for preparation of monthly group financials for investors and quarterly group financials for board meetings
Perform assessment and determine the group structure of the group based on latest accounting standards requirements.
Assist and support country finance manager on any accounting inquiries raised and determine the appropriate accounting treatment based on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as well as local requirements
Provide relevant feedback on accounting impact/treatment on current accounting practice, new marketing strategy and new business venture
Perform assessment and determine the accounting implication on any group restructuring exercise
Responsible for completion of annual statutory audit. Direct liaison with external auditors at group and country levels.
Support and assist on any M&A/ investors queries and requirement in terms of the group financial Review contractual arrangements, assess and determine appropriate purchase accounting treatment in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as well as local requirements.
Participate in the valuation of intangible assets and fair value of tangible assets and liabilities acquired and participate in policy research issues where necessary
Responsible for Intercompany reconciliation
The must haves:
Qualified Accountant with at least 8-10 years of relevant experience
Good knowledge of IFRS, and experienced in statutory and tax compliance
Strong working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
Executive presence with ability to influence and articulate complex technical topics to business partners; a mature team player with ability to work collaboratively in multicultural settings with diverse stakeholders across geography/locations
Ability to work in ambiguous, high pace and dynamic environment and lead the team towards common business goals
Strong willingness to learn and grow with the company
Advanced MS office skills
Proficient in Oracle ERP and FCCS would be an added advantage
Prior experience with one of the big four audit firms or a high-growth start-up
