Regional Data Analyst/Senior (Reporting and Automation)

Get to know the role:

• As our reporting and automation expert, you will be the custodian of Grab's analytics reporting stack that provides business metrics regionally across different functions and teams.
• Very quickly, you will develop cross-domain and cross-functional knowledge about Grab's business, products and operations while working with vast volumes of data.

The day-to-day activities:

• Manage, create and maintain critical business reports and dashboards
• Perform data wrangling and automate acquisition/transformation of custom data sources
• Interface with business stakeholders across Grab for ad-hoc reporting and analyses
• Develop and uphold best practices with respect to change management, documentation and data protocols to ensure high performance reporting
• Perform internal analytics to continuously refine how we operate

The must-have's:

• A polytechnic and/or university degree
• Strong in SQL (min 1-2 years hands on experience with relational databases and/or big data warehouses)
• Knowledgeable in Python or other programming languages
• Cognizant of coding best practices and performance tuning
• Experience working with Redshift and/or Presto is a plus
• Experience with Tableau or similar BI tools, familiarity with Tableau Server is a plus
• Strong problem solver, able to investigate and resolve issues independently
• Able to work under pressure and deliver work arounds quickly to ensure business as usual
