Get to know our Team:

  • Grab Ventures incubates new businesses within Grab and also partners with both online and offline market incumbents in the South East Asia region to develop solutions to South East Asia’s mobility, payments and O2O challenges

  • We are seeking passionate individual(s) to grow new business by cultivating a pipeline of strong and long-lasting external partnerships

  • We are a diverse mix of ex startup founders, ex management consultants, and experienced consumer tech professionals



Get to know the Role:

  • Candidate will take the lead to define BD plan, and drive leads/deals end-to-end from closure to execution

  • Candidate will be required to be agile and think critically to curate partnerships that will add value to Grab and the Partners

  • Candidate must be able to work with external parties independently, can be comfortable and effective in working with external parties from various levels, and can build and maintain long-lasting relationships

  • Candidate should be able to multitask and manage multiple partnerships during a specific time-frame

  • Candidate will be required to have good internal and external stakeholder management; constantly managing expectations and providing regular updates to ensure BD initiatives are constantly moving forward

  • Candidate must have experience in championing legal and business contracts to see through draft until signing; working with internal legal team to ensure contracts serves both external and internal interest



The day-to-day activities:

  • Lead the planning, prioritization and execution of the partnership strategy

  • Leverage network and generate new leads as required to identify prospects/partners to engage

  • Effectively develop and communicate a clear Grab value proposition specific to the partner’s business

  • Engage prioritised partners for discussion, structuring and negotiation

  • Curate the best deal structure that adds the most value to Grab

  • Work closely with internal legal team to see through end to end contract from proposal drafting to signing

  • Work closely with internal Product, Marketing and Operations teams to execute deals

  • Prepare and deliver regular business reviews to Grab management on progress, roadblocks and solutions

  • Constantly engage partners after deal execution to nurture relationship and continuously improve performance/value for Grab, Partner and users

  • Proactively work with local country business development to leverage synergies, share best practices, and efficiently using common resources



The must haves:

  • A minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business/ Management or equivalent

  • At least 5 years of experience in business development and/or key account management

  • Proven ability to blend business, strategy, finance and legal concepts to lead complex, multi-faceted, win-win deals

  • Prior experience in consumer retailing and/or FMCG an advantage

  • Fluency and ability to speak & write in English

  • Fluency and ability to speak a local SEA language an advantage

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to identify and provide comprehensive solutions to varying partners’ needs

  • Ability to build good relationships with partners and match partners’ needs and organisation resources to grow the Grab Ventures business

  • Interested in new technology and have an open-mind towards rapid future developments in the digital space

  • Works well with people, managing various stakeholders from different departments and backgrounds

  • Highly resourceful and fast learner

  • Comfortable with data analysis and tools (MS Office, Google Docs / Sheets / Slides)
