Get to know the Role:
As a Quality Assurance Engineering Manager, you will be driving your teams to out-serve Grab’s customers. Therefore, your high-quality delivery is vital to Grab and our community. Every ‘Grabber’ is equally important and has the ability to directly impact Grab’s success. You will draw on your proven track record to lead, manage, motivate, and grow the Quality Assurance team.
The day-to-day activities:
- You will oversee, manage and develop the test teams.
- You will ensure the quality of test cases and test executions through review, training, and tooling.
- Along with the Head of Engineering for Quality you will help implement test strategies, driving process improvement, raise the bar of testing across platforms and improve quality assurance practices
- You will provide estimation and handle resource management, prepare the plans and roadmaps for the quality team
- You will train and grow your teams and use your eye for talent to hire a talented team of QA Engineers to ensure capabilities are developed and resources are aligned to support the growth.
The must haves:
- Be a strong leader, with at least 2 years significant people management experience
- Proven record of being a successful Quality Assurance leader in a fast paced environment
- Have experience in automation testing
- Have experience in mobile app testing
- Have experience in testing APIs
- Understand risk based testing
- You are a tester at heart who is passionate about all forms of testing (white box, black box, functional, regression, non-functional)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and work effectively across the organization
Nice to have:
- A Degree in computer science, software engineering or information technology
- ISTQB Foundation in Software Testing
