Job requirement

The purpose of this position is to

  • Set up and implement product Quality and Food safety system.
  • Support Head of QA & NPD to drive excellence in Customer Centricity by form of relentless responsiveness to Customers and robust management of customer requirements at every stage of coffee supply chain; Monitors all aspects of a coffee supply chain, including long and short-term development, Stays abreast of trends in the marketplace to ensure the product's competitive position; In-charge of GEA-Niro Pilot Plant operations
  • Train and educate operations team to understand Quality & Food safety system

Key Attributes:

  • Having a complete understanding of organoleptic properties of Green coffee and instant coffee substitutes in preparing new/customized soluble coffee samples.
  • Develop analytical lab to international standards and proactively connect with customers in showcasing the new products.
  • Strengthening Specifications for existing product, packing material, raw material, water and New Product Development
  • Driving Certifications and ensuring compliance to the Standards of the geographies.
  • Liaise closely with Operations Team, Sales & Marketing Team and train Quality personnel to develop customer focus initiatives.
  • Prepare, Conduct Food Safety Management Audits and shall take all necessary actions (if any) resulting in performance improvement / compliance across `the division to improve GMP.
  • Understanding Soluble Coffee & Green Coffee attributes of multiple sources to work on cost optimization of Customized blends
  • Develop and maintain analytical methods suitable with available equipment
  • Monitor measurement devices and all lab equipment.
  • Training food safety awareness to all employees as yearly proposal
  • Supplier/ Out-sourcing evaluation
  • Legal requirement updates for both local & abroad

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Technical: Expertise in Green, Soluble coffee Quality (Products & Service), International Quality & Food Safety Standards, systems & amendments.
  • Operational: Support QA Head to create new and customized products in accordance to the Customer and support business strategy and deliver excellence.
  • Organizational: Enable Organizational success and excellence through continuous learning for self and QA team members
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to provide product engineering, development, management and sales solutions

Job requirement

  • Qualifications : Graduate / Post Graduate preferably with Science or coffee or Food chemistry
  • Education Level / Additional Skills: Professionally Qualified, Coffee cupping specialist / Q grading certification – Green coffee grading and origins understanding.
  • Years of relevant experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance function, Customer management, Customized blend preparations and process knowledge of Green and Soluble coffee and other geography or origin requirements.

Knowledge, Skills & Attitude Required for this position:

  • Excellent Numeric Ability, 7 tools SPC, Computer, Analytical Skills and food safety knowledge.
  • Demonstrate sound planning, focused priorities, innovativeness and motivation
  • Good Inter personal as well as Intra personal skills
  • Assertive and energetic,
  • Emanate role model behavior and exhibit team based work culture.
  • Drive Innovations at all levels supporting customers.
  • Drive for results
  • Negotiation and persuading Skills
  • Excellent of food safety and experience in set up and implement food safety for the coffee manufacturer.

  • Provide food safety training to all the employees.
  • Assure strong leadership role in implementing standards to enhance customer satisfaction.
