The successful Purchasing Manager will build, manage and develop company-wide purchasing department. This role directly reports to Managing Director. 
 

Your key responsibilities: 

• Establish and implement robust company-wide purchasing procedures and performance.
• Be responsible for developing and managing the company’s purchasing strategy.
• Develop and improve working relationships with suppliers, lead contract negotiations and ensure the company reduces waste by improving supplier performance and minimizing capital tied up in unnecessary stock.
• Define, document and lead the team to implement a purchasing process that includes but not limited to activities such as preparing purchasing plan, sourcing & selecting vendors, bidding process, making orders, planning deliveries and fraud detection.
• Continuously check and evaluate operation, vendors and purchases to maintain best vendors database, smooth, effective operations and purchasing requests are met in terms of quality, budget and timeline
• Negotiate and prepare purchasing contracts; monitoring the quality of products/services provided; evaluate contracts to ensure their compliance with legal requirements and organizational policies.
• Work with KMS Technology team to establish software system to support the execution, reporting and audit of the purchasing process.
• Manage several purchasing staffs for the development of a skilled and flexible team, work planning, performance management and professional development.
• Establish, maintain a positive relationship with relevant vendors/suppliers.

Your Experience, Skills & Knowledge:

• At least 7 years working experience of which at least 3 years’ experience in people and purchasing management.
• Experience in the development, interpretation, implementation and evaluation of policies and procedures.
• Experience in effectively managing a wide range of relationships.
• Experience in the development, interpretation, implementation and evaluation of policies and procedures.
• Experience in bidding is preferred.
• Experience in large/multinational working environment and/or technology companies is preferred.
• Purchasing methods and building tools.
• Principles and methods for moving goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits.
• Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations.
• Asset management & operations in Technology company.
• Strong financial knowledge and ability to work with budgets.
• Very good knowledge of MS Office, in particular MS Excel.
• Excellent command of English Language.
