General Description: The Production Manager is responsible for managing all activities on the PCBA production floor, ensuring output, quality, and efficiency targets are achieved
Key Responsibilities:
Production Execution & Planning:
Manage and oversee daily PCBA production activities including SMT, Through-Hole, and Final Assembly / Box-build.
Develop shift plans and production schedules based on delivery commitments and material availability.
Ensure adherence to work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process flow.
Monitor WIP levels, output, cycle time, and line utilization to optimize performance.
Establish and maintain a statistical system to monitor process data
Workforce Management:
Responsible for production staff in carrying out company policies, safety and labor rules and regulations.
Liaise with Management on formulation of personnel policies with regard to manpower planning, recruitment, grievances handling and discipline enforcement.
Supervise and coach line leaders, supervisors, and operators to meet production targets.
Conduct training and cross-training plans to improve workforce flexibility and competency.
Promote team accountability and high-performance culture.
ESD Control & Compliance:
Lead implementation and enforcement of ESD protection procedures throughout the production floor.
Ensure regular ESD audits, training, and maintenance of ESD control equipment (e.g., wrist straps, grounding, ESD flooring, ionizers).
Work closely with Quality to resolve ESD-related nonconformities and prevent recurrence.
Automation and Process Improvement
Identify and propose opportunities for automation in assembling PCBA, material handling, inspection, and final assembly.
Collaborate with engineering and equipment teams to implement automation solutions.
Champion lean manufacturing, 5S, and waste elimination in production operations.
Digital Transformation & Advanced Reporting:
Drive the use of digital tools to monitor and manage production operations.
Develop and maintain advanced reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel dashboards) for shift performance, OEE, downtime tracking, defect analysis, and labor efficiency.
Replace manual or basic daily reports with real-time, automated production performance reports aligned with management KPIs.
Support digital transformation initiatives by standardizing data collection and promoting system integration across production lines.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Coordinate with Planning, ME, Warehouse, Quality, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth production flow.
Support customer audits and visits, providing transparency in production execution and quality assurance.
Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions related to production or quality issues.
Production Oversight:
Oversee daily production, acquire new manufacturing technique and continuously upgrade process to achieve higher productivity
Plan plant layout for new product line
Ensure high hygienic standards in the factory
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, ISO 9001, IPC-A-610, and ESD requirements.
Conduct routine Gemba walks and floor audits to enforce standard practices.
Prepare and present regular production performance reviews to the Operations Director.
Any other duties as and when required by the Operation Director & Managing Director.
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in PCBA production.
Proven knowledge of SMT, PTH, and manual assembly processes.
Deep understanding of ESD control standards (e.g., ANSI/ESD S20.20).
Familiar with MES systems, digital reporting, and dashboard tools.
Demonstrated experience in proposing and supporting automation initiatives.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Good command of written and spoken English.
High commitment, proactive mindset, and ability to work under pressure.
