I. JOB PURPOSE
The Product Research and Analytics Leader is responsible for overseeing and leading the market research and product analytics functions within the company. This role ensures that all product development strategies and decisions are informed by robust data analysis, market trends, and customer insights. The leader will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify growth opportunities, shape product innovation, and drive business success through data-driven decisions.
II. RESPONSIBILITY
1. Strategic Market Research and Trend Analysis
· Lead the overall strategy for market research initiatives, ensuring they align with the company’s strategic goals and product vision.
· Oversee comprehensive research on industry trends, emerging technologies, competitive landscapes, and market dynamics.
· Develop insights that help shape product development, marketing, and category strategies, identifying areas for growth, differentiation, and innovation.
· Anticipate market shifts and direct teams to proactively explore new opportunities.
2. Product Analytics and Innovation
· Lead data analysis to evaluate product performance, customer behavior, and market demand.
· Oversee the creation of detailed product specifications, collaborating with QA, Design, Supply Chain, and Suppliers to ensure alignment with business requirements.
· Analyze customer feedback, reviews, and behavioral data to derive actionable insights for continuous product improvement.
· Evaluate the feasibility of new product ideas, considering technical, financial, and market factors to guide decision-making.
· Ensure product analytics systems are in place to track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), sales metrics, and market trends.
· Lead the development and presentation of business cases, including financial projections, risk analysis, and market fit evaluations to senior leadership.
3. Leadership in Product Creation and Development
· Lead the product development process, ensuring that all initiatives are grounded in market research and analytical insights.
· Oversee the creation of complete product specifications, collaborating with internal teams to ensure products are aligned with market needs, technical requirements, and business objectives.
· Guide sample checking and validation processes for mass production, ensuring products meet quality standards and market expectations.
· Develop and execute category strategies that enhance profitability, customer satisfaction, and market positioning.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration and Leadership
· Lead and mentor cross-functional teams, ensuring collaborative efforts between research, design, quality assurance, supply chain, and sales departments.
· Drive cross-departmental alignment to refine product concepts and optimize them for market readiness.
· Collaborate with executive leadership to present market research findings, product innovations, and business case proposals.
· Serve as the key point of contact for research and analytics in product development initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
5. Competitive Analysis and Strategic Planning
· Oversee ongoing competitive analysis to ensure the company remains ahead of market trends and competitor strategies.
· Identify gaps in the market, opportunities for differentiation, and areas where the company can gain a competitive advantage.
· Lead the analysis of competitor products, pricing, and strategies, providing actionable recommendations for product innovation or market positioning.
· Continuously refine category strategies and product roadmaps based on evolving market conditions and customer needs.
6. Innovation and Continuous Improvement
· Foster a culture of innovation by staying updated on technological advancements, consumer behavior, and emerging market trends.
· Implement data-driven methodologies to ensure that product innovation is continuous and aligned with market needs.
· Lead initiatives to explore and implement new tools, technologies, and methodologies that enhance the company's research and analytics capabilities.
● Knowledge
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Market Research, Data Analytics, Product Development, or related field.
- E-commerce knowledge, furniture domain is preferable.

- Strong data analysis and market research skills, with experience leading comprehensive research initiatives.
- Exceptional leadership and cross-functional collaboration abilities, with a proven track record of guiding diverse teams through product development processes.

- Proven leadership experience (5+ years) in product research, analytics, and development, preferably in consumer goods or manufacturing industries.
- Experience and deep understanding about furniture products.
