Product Engineer (Sofa Frame)

Responsible for Frame of Upholstery (UPH) Products, facilitate to get all projects relating to Frame complete on time in full.

• In charge of Frame Engineering for Upholstery, gathering all relevant frame specifications and information from US and China facilities to support development at Wanek.

• Proficiently use multiple software applications (SolidWorks suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, SmartSheet) to create assembly videos for Casegood, RTA, and Upholstery product categories.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with US teams to execute AIP processes and develop consumer assembly instruction documentation for Casegood and RTA products.

• Design and develop new frame concepts, create detailed technical drawings for hardware and hardwood components, and maintain comprehensive design documentation systems.

• Oversee R&D activities related to product frames, supporting cover-fitting, pilot runs, and transition to mass production.

• Prepare and update information related to UPH transfer plans, BOM changes, and other relevant documentation.

• Track and update progress from Pilot Run meetings, ensuring timely completion of all tasks.

• Facilitate cost-saving projects related to frames, ensuring they are completed on time and in full.

• Develop visual controls, communicate goals, and promote best practices. Maintain and update the workshop layout for the UPH Department.

• Serve as a key driver for implementing and improving safety standards within the company.

1.     Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering majors.

2.     Experience:

• From 2 years of engineering experience in elevant role in large labor-intensive manufacturing company.
• Expert user of Excel and statistical analysis, especially in graphic design.
• Strong in MS Office, Statistical software, AutoCAD 2D-3D, SolidWorks software
• CNC programming knowledge will be preferred.
