Product Development Manager, Insurance

Grab’s Insurance business (GrabInsure) is a recent addition to Grab Financial Group. GrabInsure is developing innovative insurance solutions for the Grab ecosystem which includes drivers, customers, agents and merchants. We work with a range of insurance partners to deliver these products. Our team is responsible for end to end conceptualisation, design, development, execution and ongoing management of all insurance activities in its focus markets and segments. We are incredibly excited about the opportunity ahead of us. To help us execute on our mission we are building a product development and data analytics team to leverage our unique customer insights to re-think insurance product design.

Get to know the Role:

• Analyse different risks our partners and customers face and conceptualise products that can help manage these risks

• Work with multiple insurance partners to develop product pricing and policy wording with a focus on innovative new product structures

• Collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders including product managers, engineers and marketers to prioritise products that scale rapidly in the Grab ecosystem

• Determine and acquire the datasets needed for product development, to be collected from internal and external sources

• Work with data scientists, technology teams and other functions to deep dive on data solutions and prioritise business and information needs

• Network regularly and build excellent business relationships with key insurance partners and intermediaries through regular engagements

The must haves:

• A Bachelor's/Master’s degree, preferably in Actuarial Science, Insurance, Analytics, Statistics or Mathematics

• 3-6 years relevant work experience in underwriting in either General Insurance of Life Products

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise and analyse significant amount of information with attention to detail and accuracy

• Knowledge of data models, data mining and segmentation techniques

• Self-motivated and independent learner

• Detail-oriented and efficient time manager who thrives in a dynamic and dynamic working environment

• Good in business communication

• Insurance, wealth management, FI experience preferable

• Solid presentation skills, analytical skills and eye for detail
