JOB IN SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Procurement & Sustainability Manager to oversee the sourcing of spice commodities and lead sustainability initiatives within our spice manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, a deep understanding of the spice supply chain, and a passion for sustainable practices that support ethical sourcing and environmental responsibility.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Procurement Responsibilities:• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for various spice commodities with a focus on quality, cost, and reliability.• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with farmers, traders, and suppliers.• Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts to ensure optimal procurement efficiency.• Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and supply chain disruptions to inform sourcing strategies.• Ensure timely procurement to meet production schedules and delivery commitments.
Sustainability Responsibilities:• Lead and oversee ongoing sustainability initiatives aligned with company goals and industry standards.• Collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders to promote sustainable farming practices.• Implement and monitor supplier sustainability audits and compliance.• Track and report on sustainability metrics, including social, environmental, and ethical standards.• Promote awareness and best practices for sustainability within the organization and across the supply chain.
Cross-functional Coordination:• Work closely with production, quality, and R&D teams for seamless supply and product quality assurance.• Contribute to strategic planning and development of sustainability policies
