Grab’s Insurance business (GrabInsure) is a recent addition to Grab’s array of product and service offerings focused on distributing relevant and innovative insurance solutions to drivers, users, agents and merchants in Grab’s ecosystem. GrabInsure’s team is a combination of strong talent pool in its Regional Hub (Singapore) and deep local market operators across its focus markets. We are incredibly excited about the opportunity ahead of us. GrabInsure’s team is responsible for end to end conceptualisation, design, development, execution and ongoing management of all insurance activities in its focus markets and segments.
Get to know the Role:
This role will primarily be focused on 3 areas:
Procurement – support business units in insurance procurement and renewal of insurance policies across region.
Advisory – provide insurance and claims advisory support for business units.
Distribution – help to build and grow the new insurance distribution platform which is a new initiative for the business.
1. Procurement
Pre-procurement:
Work closely with key stakeholders across different business units to identify insurance needs
RFQ with insurance partners
Facilitate underwriting process between business units and insurance partners
Work with Customer Experience (CE) team on new insurance product information and training
Post-procurement:
Work with business units to manage incidents that may potentially result in insurance claims
Liaise with insurance partners and business units for claims issues and reporting
Manage procurement tracker and claims reports
Manage database of insurance documents e.g. agreements and policies
2. Advisory
Support CE in escalations of product and claim enquiries
Provide insurance advisory support to business units in particular the review of insurance clauses in business contracts
Support business units’ assessment and review of operational risks
3. Distribution
Support distribution of insurance products by working closely with insurance partners and stakeholders across functions in the organization
Work with CE on new insurance product information and training
Work with payment and finance teams to support the distribution business
Manage regional reporting for the distribution business
The must haves:
Insurance qualification e.g. CGI, ACII, ANZIIF or equivalent
Bachelor‘s Degree or Diploma in relevant fields e.g. Business, Law etc.
2+ years experience in insurance related operations e.g. claims, underwriting, policy servicing etc.
Strong communication and analytical skills
Proficiency in English and preferably, 1 other Asian Language (i.e. Bahasa MY/ID, Mandarin)
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
