Grab Rentals Operations is a dynamic and evolving team which is the engine room of Grab Rentals that bridge various key departments

We ensure timely and seamless delivery of cars to subsequent partner and we are also responsible on ensuring all GR cars are accounted, maintained and turn around in the shortest possible time to ensure high utilization.

Get to know the Role:

• Your role is not a desk bound job, you will be required to liaise with both internal and external individuals on day to day basis
• Educating hirer through vehicle checks and conducting briefing for the hirers on the Do’s and Don’ts as a private hire driver
• Maintaining 100% asset accountability of the fleet

The day-to-day activities:

• Responsible for performing check outs & ins and prepping vehicle for the subsequent hirer.
  • Inspect interior & exterior of vehicle (including accessories)
  • Prepare vehicle for subsequent check out (clean, repair, etc.)
• Accurate updates of vehicle availability in fleet management system
  • Ensure accurate vehicle availability for planning
  • Ensure minimal vehicle “non-utilization”
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers regarding services recommended and performed
• Work with parallel departments (Panel workshops, service advisor, vendors & Technical Trainer) for smooth handing over of hirer from transactions to vehicle
• Harmonize expectations on vehicle condition with partner (minimal disputes)
• Manage information flow between authorised workshop, Grab Rentals & drivers
• Coordinate replacement vehicles for drivers (in the event of an accident)
• Provide technical advice to driver with regards to vehicle functionality and familiarisation.
• Work on max cost saving and process transparency.

The must haves:

• Fluent written and spoken English
• Valid Class 3 or 3A will be required
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)
• Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma (preferably in automotive repair)
• At least 2 years experience preferably in the automotive industry / fleet management, with minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in automotive repair
• Self motivated individual who is capable to get things done within allocated time frame.
• Willing to be hands-on as needed and proactively assume responsibilities for one’s actions.
• Able to work independently and deal effectively with complex, changing, and ambiguous environments.
• Able to initiate and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
