The Import/Export Operation Staff is responsible for handling and coordinating domestic and international shipments across air, sea, and road transport. The role covers full operational processes including cargo handling, warehousing, customs clearance, and transportation arrangements. The position ensures all shipments are managed efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with local and international regulations, while delivering high-quality service to customers.
1. Import:
- Received pre-alert from oversea, file manifest, send arrival notice to customer, and release Delivery Order to customer.
- Contact with customer to prepare to do import customs clearance, update information for cargo release to CNEE.
- Check import requirement procedure to import cargo and reply to customer, oversea, MSDS, HS code, import license
- Input revenue/cost into the system, check and confirm costs to agent, issue Debit/Credit Notes for customers/oversea agents, handle internal data entry
- Keep updated on relevant laws and regulations
- Correspondence with other sections and our overseas partner offices.
2. Export:
- Receive and manage inquiries from customers/overseas and arrange bookings.
- Contact with customer to prepare to do export customs clearance, update information for cargo release to customer.
- Check export procedures, including MSDS, HS codes; ensure accurate documentation.
- Issue booking confirmation, House Bill, update VGM, MBL on the carrier’s system; submit AFR, ENS, AMS, FMC as required.
- Send pre-alerts to oversea agents and relevant parties.
- Input revenue/cost into the system, check and confirm costs to agent, issue Debit/Credit Notes for customers/oversea agents, handle internal data entry
- Check and track telex releases from carriers
- Keep updated on relevant laws and regulations
- Correspondence with other sections and our overseas partner offices.
3. Warehouse: handle W/H service if requested.
And others jobs as per BOD’s requirements.
