To lead, organize and drive all manufacturing operation activities in the designated working site to achieve production outputs and quality, safety, customer service, productivity and cost objectives.
To drive execution of site improvement plans, help set operations improvement goals, ensure priorities and accountabilities are clear, provide resources and remove obstacles to ensure success.
To analyze and draw information for long-term strategic change and improvement.
To lead a safe operation of the business unit and comply with legal, legislative and corporate safety requirements.
To participate in the establishment of site’ annual operating plans and ensure that manufacturing team members meet site goals and objectives.
To plan, direct and coordinate the ordering and distribution of products, materials, parts, and accessories. Ensures adequate and timely distribution of these elements to attain maximum sales potential consistent with good inventory control.
To ensure maximum efficient operations of facilities and equipment, as well as the care of all grounds and support equipment, through the direction of a technical support staff made up of supervisors, technicians, custodians, and the purchase of necessary outside technical and non-technical support services.
To plan, coordinate, and supervise machine and building maintenance schedules and activities. May assist with or oversee engineering design and construction of new facilities, or alterations or modifications of existing facilities.
Lead GPS (Global Performance management System) process in the assigned Operations team.
Lead special ELS Kaizen projects (Process Improvement, TPM, Cost Saving e.g. Waste Reduction) across the designated manufacturing areas.
Participate as Avery Dennison RBIS Vietnam representative in designated regional/global communities/projects.
University degree in Industrial Engineering or other related fields.
5-8 years experience in similar areas. Lean Manufacturing management is preferred but candidates with experiences in leading/coordinating engineering projects or other kinds of complex industrial operations (e.g. logistics like warehousing and shipping) can also be considered.
Strong leadership quality in accordance with Avery Dennison’s Leadership Principles.
Inter-functional Business understanding and knowledge, Business Intuition (in production and supply chain aspects).
Special Skill: Knowledge and experiences in Enterprise Lean Sigma is very preferred.
Technical Skill: Engineering/process knowledge on garment production, weaving or printing operations is preferred.
English communication proficiency, Mandarin speaking is a plus.
