General Description
The purpose of this position is to be responsible for designing, lead and implement the best in class solutions for all Land project. This candidate must have excellent communication and client management skills in order to maintain positive client relations. This candidate must be a self-starter, who is able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment. This candidate must be a team player to ensure good working cooperation between the different Business units locally and regionally.
The primary responsibility is to devise logistics solutions and supply chain re-design for new and existing customers. The candidate is also responsible for costing solutions and working with operations, to ensure delivery of solutions to the customer and assist the HCM Branch Head in identification and development of new solution sets. The candidate is also required to ensure that all solutions are highly competitive in order to maximize conversion rates, whilst at the same time ensuring that these are deliverable to achieve the anticipated profitability.
Specific Accountabilities
Solution Design
· Verify all complicated RFQ and quotation to understand well on requirements, break down all required process/steps for solution design of RFQ.
· Classification of RFQ to refer for next RFQ or similar RFQ.
· Evaluate and support assessment of 'winnability' of enquiries and RFQs
· Perform on-site analysis of customer requirements if required.
· Create the solutions input required for the concept presentation for RFQ responses and customer presentations
· Present solutions to prospective and existing customers.
· Define strength and weakness of each vendor. Assign each vendor for each vertical.
· Work with Line Manager to define strategy vendors and have plan to develop vendors.
· Appreciation of costs of operations, capital spend and effective use of company standard cost models.
· Deal directly with customers/vendors either by telephone, electronically or face to face and respond promptly to internal or external customer inquiries
· Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to handle product and service inquiries
· Calculate budgets for the implementation of new opportunities and Land Projects in general
KPI Management
· Assist the Trucking team and Custom Clearance team in getting and providing feedback about the service delivery of the subcontractors
· Evaluate performances of sub-contractors.
Support of Functions
· Support Sales for sales visit and sales presentation
· Tender & Pricing Management
HSSE
· Ensure that HSSE guidance is followed by staff
· Understand the HSSE policy of the company
· Follow the HSSE policy of the company
· Report near misses to Manager / Supervisor
Skills Required
· Functional know-how in the overall understanding of business processes and independencies
· Know how in Customs & Land Transportation
· Knowledge about markets and competitors
· Knowledge about trends and challenges for the industry
· Business acumen (understands principles and language, incl. the fundamentals of finance and profitability)
· Ability to successfully conduct and manage investigations and come up with pragmatic solutions
· Excellent communication skills
Experience and Qualifications
· Experience in customs and land transportation
· Minimum 1- 3 year of relevant working experience to Support Sales for sales visit and sales presentation
· Tender & Pricing Management
· University graduate major in foreign trade or relevant fields: customs, logistic, transportations.
· Ability to speak English & Vietnamese, other language(s) of any is a plus point
