Job requirement

Role Purpose:

Ensure that all cashew processing activities comply with food safety and quality standards and support the maintenance and improvement of certifications such as BRC, SMETA, HACCP and customer-specific requirements.

Key Responsibilities

A. Quality Systems & Certifications

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining BRC, SMETA, HACCP and other relevant standards (e.g. GMP, GHP).
  • Prepare and update procedures, SOPs, forms, and records as per certification requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits (certification audits, customer audits, social audits).
  • Follow up on non-conformities, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and ensure closure on time.

B. Factory QA & Food Safety

  • Monitor critical control points (CCPs) and prerequisite programs (hygiene, pest control, allergen control, etc.).
  • Conduct line checks in sorting, packing etc. to ensure product meets quality standards.
  • Report any quality or food safety issues immediately to QA Manager / Production Supervisor.

C. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and complete QA documentation: checklists, monitoring records, calibration records, traceability records, training records, etc.
  • Prepare daily/weekly QA reports on defects, complaints, rejections and share with Factory Manager.
  • Support traceability exercises and product recall/mock recall when required.

D. Training & Continuous Improvement

  • Support training of workers on hygiene, food safety, product handling, and quality standards.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects to reduce defects and complaints.
  • Propose ideas to improve product quality, yield, and compliance with standards.

Job requirement

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in food technology, Food Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology or related field will be a plus
  • 2–4 years experience in QA/QC in a food processing factory, preferably nuts, snacks or similar.
  • Practical experience with HACCP system and working knowledge of BRC and SMETA.
  • Familiar with GMP, GHP, hygiene & sanitation requirements in food factories.
  • Basic understanding of laboratory tests for food (moisture, aflatoxin, microbiology – as applicable)
