Get to know our team:

Regional Demand Planning & Marketing Strategy is the demand growth engine for Grab, housed within marketing, with work spanning across the region (all 8 countries). Work is inter-disciplinary – a combination of data analytics, marketing insights, passenger segmentation, market strategy & brand positioning. The team will be focused on growing demand efficiently, with projects covering overall strategy, ideation (e.g., optimizing targeted promos, developing innovative approaches), experimentation and ensure successful implementation in the country.

Get to know the role:

Role is a balance of heavy analytics and stakeholder management - leading day-to-day coordination with Country Heads and Country Marketing Heads on demand growth while generating passenger demand growth activities like promos using data analyses to gain actionable insight (e.g. promo & incentive spend optimization, churn analysis, customer segmentation, etc)

The day-to-day activities:

  • Support Head of Demand Operations with advice on overall demand operations and promo strategy and budgeting
  • Provide Country Marketing Teams support in promo strategy
  • Allocate budget for passenger acquisition and retention based on market insights and competitive landscape
  • Provide inputs to technical and product team for demand operations features roadmap
  • Coordinate cross functional experiments to generate insights in line with business objectives
  • Articulate insights to key partners along with recommended actions
  • Provide actionable insight (e.g. promo & incentive spend optimization, churn analysis, customer segmentation, etc)
  • Optimize overall funnel from install to loyalty all campaign performances, including creative, segmentation, mechanics, etc.
  • Liaise with creative, operations, strategy and insights

The must haves:

  • A minimum 4 years of relevant work experience in marketing, advertisement, eCommerce, top tier management consulting
  • A degree with good honours from a top tier university in any discipline
  • MBA will be an advantage
  • Experience with quantitative analysis e.g. financial modelling and data manipulation
  • Ability to construct and deliver clear presentations to senior company executives
  • Functional or operational experience in a start-up or hi-tech company
  • Excellent ability to build consensus and support across different functions and stakeholders
  • Experience in analysing and quantifying complex strategic issues tied to long term business growth
  • Experience in project managing complex, cross-functional projects
  • Creativity and comfortable with ‘blank sheet of paper’ assignments
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
