Merchant Risk Associate sitting within GrabPay Risk Team
Get to know the Role:
Perform online and offline merchant vetting and ensure merchant companies comply with GrabPay compliance policies and applicable laws.
Determine GrabPay risk exposure to merchants (default risk, operational risk, fraud,) and suggest appropriate collaterals.
Analyse merchant activity and information such as financial statements to derive merchant risk profiles and GrabPay exposure to the merchants.
Review and verify KYB (Know-Your-Business) information such as company registration documents, financial statements, key persons information.
Act as a subject matter expert on merchant risk and work together with key merchant stakeholders such as account managers and product teams.
Establish GrabPay merchant monitoring framework, regularly monitor merchant key indicators, financial situation, and effect required changes in KYB accordingly.
The must haves:
Problem-solving, positive and constructive attitude is a must.
Comfort in dealing with ambiguity and operating in a fast-growing environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Bahasa.
Recognised experience in online payments.
Outstanding customer focus
Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience of KYC/CDD regulations for online payments / e-wallets / Stored Value Facilities in Singapore and ideally other SEA countries.
Ability to interpret financial statements in detail.
Knowledge of e-payments, credit card and banking processes preferred.
Knowledge of central bank compliance rules and credit card scheme rules is a plus.
