Material Engineer/Heat Treatment Engineer

I. Responsibilities

• Supervise the heat treatment process during production; record and report technical issues, and propose corrective solutions.

• Research the diamond structure of molds and products as required to suggest solutions for improving mold and product quality.

• Receive and integrate new heat treatment equipment and technologies when the factory implements improvement projects (e.g., vacuum furnace, conveyor furnace, salt bath furnace, bright annealing furnace, sub-zero furnace, etc.); revise operating procedures and train technical workers on furnace operation.

• Contribute ideas and proposals to superiors regarding process improvement projects for heat treatment stages to enhance quality and productivity, while reducing costs and labor.

• Participate in building laboratories and defining quality standards for different types of molds and products.

• Prepare technical reports on work progress and project implementation.

II. Requirements

Knowledge

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Metallurgical Engineering, Foundry Engineering, or related fields.

• Strong understanding of heat treatment and thermo-chemical processes for metals and alloys.

• Knowledge of heat treatment furnace technologies (e.g., vacuum furnace, conveyor furnace, salt bath furnace, bright annealing furnace, sub-zero furnace, etc.).

Skills

• Teamwork and independent working skills, data analysis, communication, and presentation abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of reading technical documents in English.

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in heat treatment of metals (especially steel).

• Preference given to candidates with experience in heat treatment for automotive parts.

• Knowledge of cleaning and electroplating technologies is a plus.

Performance Evaluation Criteria

• Quality of heat-treated products; improvements to heat treatment processes and their practical application.

Workplace

• Kem Nghia Sai Gon Joint Stock Company
• Lot B4-3, D4 Street, Tan Phu Trung Industrial Park, Tan Phu Trung Commune, Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City.

Working Hours

• Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 16:30 (30-minute lunch break).
• Overtime may be required depending on workload.
