Map Operations Associate

Get to know the Role: ​

The Map Ops Associate will be an integral team member of the GEO product tech family that is tasked to support local & regional mapping initiatives and provide a seamless experience to our customers. ​

The day-to-day activities: ​

• Collecting data using proprietary software & internal tools

• Monitoring, analyzing & grading large sets of geo data regular validation and site visits

• Perform regular quality checks, translation & transcription where applicable

• Coordinate with cross-functional & local transport teams to drive projects

• Collaborate with local teams for map & geo-related data requests

• Conduct training locally & regionally as needed

• Support customer feedback (passengers, drivers and Grab employees)

• To adhere to Grab confidentiality procedures & policies when collecting, storing and sharing data

The must haves: ​​​​

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Computer Science, Engineer or equivalent

• 2-3 years of mapping experience with hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment preferably in a consumer tech firm or surveying company.

• Experience in surveying and analyzing large sets of geo data using computer software preferably ArcGIS & QGIS

• Extremely metrics driven with experience in data analysis and in creating thematic maps to drive projects and launches.

• Understands how map operations influence the product and customer experience

• Advanced Excel skills are preferred

• Excellent communication and writing skills

• Experience in handling community events and conducting relevant training sessions

• Willing to travel locally & regionally as needed​
