You are a highly motivated, creative individual with experience and a passion for connecting with current and future customers. This role is all about creating positive conversation ripples for Grab online. With oversight and ownership of the content published across all of the brand’s social media channels - Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and the App (via GrabDaily) - you’ll play an integral role to not only grow the business, but shape people’s perceptions of it. You will be essential in communicating the company’s brand in a positive, authentic way to today’s modern, hyper-connected, mobile first customers.

You should be an innovator and expert in social media marketing, content development, and creative ideas—ready to scale Grab’s social engagement to match our rapidly growing Southeast Asian brand.

The day-to-day activities:

  • Collaborate with marketing and campaign teams to develop, amplify and execute marketing campaigns on social.
  • Manage social media managers, helping them to achieve strategic, creative and operational excellence through the content series and campaigns they develop.
  • Operationalise the Regional social strategy within Philippines, working with both Brand Marketing Managers and the Creative Teams to produce and publish relevant and engaging content across channels
  • Coordinate all outbound communications via our social platforms, effectively taking ownership of a coherent editorial calendar for Philippines that upholds Grab’s unique brand voice and narrative
  • Strategically prioritise and scale content initiatives with external stakeholders - including publisher partnerships and influencer partnerships - based on Philippines’s unique business requirements and customer needs
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Performance Marketing, Comms, and Customer Experience to maximise the business impact of Social @ Grab
  • Serve as the Philippines point person for the regional team - carrying forward the best practices, timely case studies, and tool expertise to the wider country team
  • Liaise closely with the Paid Social Media team to maximise the reach and impact analysis of all activity across channels
  • Lead the local measurement & reporting of social activity
  • Share in-depth knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms, their respective participants and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios to push the possibilities of Social @ Grab
  • Work with external agencies (as needed) to develop creative and engaging online and social media content for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube etc.
  • Build and manage a relationship with internal and external stakeholders to grow the business and meet the company’s overall objectives
  • Work with the Marketing head to plan quarterly spend to support your social media engagement plan; properly track and manage costs

The must haves:

  • 5+ years experience running Social Marketing efforts for a global/national brand
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communication or other advertising.
  • Must be equally adept at both strategy and execution
  • Passionate about making a positive impact in the community
  • Exceptional writing abilities as you may be called upon to write/edit content being published across channels
  • Passionate for developing intrinsically social content - ideating with local campaign teams, carrying forward regional campaigns concepts, and guiding external partners against the strategy
  • A data-driven mindset toward social content and publishing --- ability and curiosity to use research and data to inform and bolster creative decisions (experience with social analytics and social listening tools a must)
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement, and social media platforms; willing to learn about social media amplification and distribution, including organic and paid strategies, and native distribution

  • Sensitive to the wider implications and understanding of operational concerns in the development of social communication plans
  • Self-starter with an ability to work independently, whilst also a team player for broader digital strategies, monitoring or tactical campaigns
  • Highly resourceful and fast learner. Enjoys brainstorming, coming up with creative ideas, seeing it come to life and learning from it.
  • Loves the thrill of being in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer-centric mindset with keen sense of analysing problems and solving them
