Get to know the Role:
A Manager in Financial Reporting is responsible for actively dealing with the development, implementation and monitoring of accounting policies, procedures and practices to ensure compliance with IFRS across the Grab network.
The day-to-day activities:
- Technical lead / Champion on accounting standards
- Standardization of accounting treatment across all countries across products and services
- Bridging of accounting standard between IFRS and local GAAP
- Participate as M & A lead advisory role for accounting modelling for business combination
- Develop policies to ensure compliance with IFRS which will be provided to country entity
- Review and provide feedback on the accounting entries and to obtain validation from local business stakeholders
The must haves:
- Relevant qualification in business, accounting and/or a related discipline, qualified CPA, CIA, Chartered Accountant or equivalent
- Minimum 6+ experience in IFRS focused role with solid knowledge of IFRS
- High attention to details and excellent analytical skills
- Sound independent judgement; customer focused
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including senior level business and corporate partnering across various countries and cultures
- Ability to adapt to change quickly and multi-task
