Grab’s lending business (GFSA – Grab Financial Services Asia) is a recent addition to Grab’s array of product and service offerings focused on extension of Micro credit to drivers, agents and merchants in Grab’s ecosystem. GFSA team is a combination of strong talent pool in its Regional Hub (Singapore) and deep local market operators across its focus markets.

GFSA team is responsible for end to end conceptualisation, design, development, execution and ongoing management of all

lending activities in its focus markets and segments.

Get to know the Role:

As an MSME Lending Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing prospects, establishing partnerships and servicing these relationships to meet targets and grow the MSME lending portfolio in Singapore.

In performing the role, you will need to have a good understanding of the SME market needs, provide inputs to develop Grab’s lending programs, and to work with the relevant teams to set up the infrastructure needed to deliver these solutions.

You will report to the Regional MSME Segment Lead.


The day-to-day activities:

  • Understand local customer needs and identify the problems to be solved
  • Jointly develop financing solutions to serve business opportunities
  • Source prospects to meet sales and revenue targets
  • Establish partnership opportunities with ecosystem players to build scale
  • Ensure compliance to Grab’s program governance framework
  • Work closely with internal teams to execute lending programs and campaigns
  • Provide timely business performance updates

The Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in any field (preferably in business, management or marketing)
  • Minimum 6 years experience in Business Development, Corporate Relationship Management or Lending Product Management, preferably in a banking, finance company or a fintech environment.

  • Good communication skills in both written and spoken English

  • Microsoft Office skills are required (MS. Excel, MS. Word and MS. Powerpoint)

  • A highly independent individual with excellent team-working skills

  • Ability to build good relationships with partners and match partners’ needs and organization

  • Ability to fuse business, strategy, finance and legal concepts to lead complex, multi-faceted deals

  • Energetic, enthusiastic and calm even in a dynamic and fast paced environment

  • Excellent time management and communication skills with excellent leadership skills
