Position Summary
To lead and manage all maintenance activities at the pistachio processing plant, ensuring equipment reliability, plant uptime, and safety compliance while supporting production goals and food safety standards.
Specific Functions, Additional duties will include but not be limited to the following:
1.Compliance & Safety
a. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with GMP, HACCP, food safety, and local regulations.
b. Support audits and inspections (internal, external, and regulatory).
c. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with ofi safety policies, procedure and local regulations.
d. Implement and enforce lockout/tagout (LOTO), JSA, permit-to-work (PTW), and safety protocols
2. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
a. Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for all machinery and utilities.
b. Monitor equipment performance and schedule predictive maintenance to prevent unplanned downtime.
c. Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports.
3. Breakdown Management
a. Lead quick and effective troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
b. Coordinate immediate response to breakdowns to minimize production loss.
4. Team Leadership
a. Supervise and train maintenance technicians and contractors.
b. Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
5. Spare Parts & Asset Management
a. Manage spare parts inventory and procurement.
b. Maintain updated records of all machinery, warranties, and maintenance contracts.
6. Continuous Improvement
a. Propose and lead improvements in machine performance, energy use, and plant efficiency.
b. Participate in capital projects and installation of new equipment.
a. Key Equipment Handled Roasters, conveyors, color sorters, packaging machines, dust collectors, compressors, Electrical panels, PLCs, motors, pumps, HVAC, fire systems.
Qualification, Competencies Requirements
Education: Engineering degree in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: Have over 5 years of experience in similar positions and scales.
