Get to know the Role:

  • To provide legal support for VN and CAM country teams. This includes advice, drafting, and liaising with government entities.
  • To direct, and coordinate the efforts of, external legal counsel, where needed.




The day-to-day activities:
  • Provides legal assistance and support country operations, administration, HR and verticals on various matters related to commercial contracts, litigation, corporate exercises, services agreements, regulatory and employment.
  • Give accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics (investment, licensing, compliance, corporate matters, partnerships, ventures, corporate finance etc.)
  • Work with country teams on country specific projects such as the formulation of policies, procedures and on issues of governance where concerns are raised.
  • Assists regional legal department on various matters, as required.
  • Involvement in the drafting, review, interpretation and vetting of operational contractual documents.
  • Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority etc.), creating relations of trust.
  • Drafts and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents relating to the company’s business.
  • Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and forces.
  • Assists in efforts to ensure that the business remains in compliance with the applicable legislation.
  • Providing accurate and strategic legal advice to local team; and applies effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues.
  • Evaluating and weighing multiple inputs and impacts of decisions undertaken and course of action.
  • Keep track of Legal operating budget, particularly external legal counsel fees.
  • To provide support to the team in order to achieve targets.
  • To help meet senior management’s expectations.





The must haves:

  • A recognized Degree in Law; Vietnamese law degree preferred
  • Minimum of [7] years working experience
  • Versatility.
  • Overall knowledge of the general legal requirements of Grab businesses and investments.
  • Proven experience as a legal counsel in business environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Experience in contract reviewing and drafting; and corporate matters.
  • Knowledge and understanding of investment law, commercial law, e-commerce regulations, corporate law and procedures.
