Junior Project Manager

Get to know the Team & Role:

Grab is a constantly growing and scaling its products and services to fit its customer’s needs, which are constantly changing.
With this in mind, the Payment & Finance Operations team serves as the key coordinator to ensure that while supporting Grab’s growth, all new payment methods, reconciliation abilities, integrations, operations monitoring are covered to build a financially scalable future. This team expertise of Grab products and operations coupled with its knowledge of the payment best practices allows it to act as Payment Business Owner within Grab in order to bring to deliver new products, countries launches, processes and business opportunities from a payment angle.

As Project manager within this team, you possess strong project management skills and are able to coordinate effectively with Grab’s program managers, product managers, Business Owners and stakeholders in order to represent best the Payment operations team’s needs and deliver great payment products to market (remittance, prepaid cards, airtime, wallet…).

The day-to-day activities:

• End-to-end ownership of the timely delivery of the payment and financial components of new products or features launches.

• Gather business requirements and turning them into detailed technical requirements for Product Managers and Engineers.

• Own the delivery of several simultaneous key projects.

• Coordinate among all stakeholders (legal, finance, product, business, compliance…) to ensure a holistic approach to the product payment setup.

• Provide guidance to decide on the optimal payment operational setup for scale and growth.

• Design and drive process improvements and workflows to scale our operations and support the strategic direction of our business.

The must haves:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience in project management, product manager or business analyst in a Technology company.

• Ability to read and understand payment infrastructure, APIs and workflows.

• Ability to speak and write in English fluently and idiomatically.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing complex projects in the e-payment industry in either collection, disbursement or reconciliation.

• Experience in payments, ideally alternative payments acquiring and processing

• Understanding of the payment landscape in Southeast Asia.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
