The Singapore Strategy and Insights team supports our Singapore business on strategy formulation and strategic project delivery
The Insights team is a sub-team that sits within the Singapore Strategy and Insights team that focuses on using data and research to analyze business strategy and execution
You will be working on projects that span all business lines in Singapore, including GrabPay, GrabFood, GrabCar, etc.
Get to know the Role:
Deliver valuable business insights to senior management to act upon (e.g. promo & incentive spend optimization, churn analysis, customer segmentation, etc)
Design and implement solutions that drive value to the business
Get exposed to diverse teams and senior management across multiple business lines, including GrabPay, GrabGood, GrabCar, etc.
Minimal travel required
The day-to-day activities:
Structure research and experiments to generate insights in line with business objectives (e.g. A/B testing, on-the-ground engagement with driver-partners)
Make use of rich datasets to support senior management in performing analyses that help with data driven decision making
Articulate insights and recommended actions to stakeholders
Work with cross functional teams to deliver high-impact initiatives arising from insights generated
The must haves:
At least 2-3 years of business analytics experience
Confident in processing and analyzing complex data sets
Proficiency with database querying (e.g. SQL) and BI tools (e.g. Tableau)
Basic proficiency with R or Python
Ability to visualize and articulate results from complex analyses to a wide range of audiences and translate these to actionable business insights
Start-up attitude – willing to learn and work hard to get things done
Detail oriented, with sensitivity to numbers
A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business, economics or similar
The good to haves:
Having worked in a top tier strategy or management consultancy firm will be an advantage
Experience designing and conducting user & market research
Prior experience in entrepreneurship
