Information Technology Supervisor

Job requirement

  • Provide operational support/ maintenance for all Network, Hardware and Software problems. 
  • Ensure weekly monthly back-up for other Hotel System and copy to tape. 
  • Create Access Rights based on approved IT Service Forms and in accordance with Rosewood guidelines or default System settings upon installation. 
  • Remove Access Rights based on approved IT Service Forms/ Clearance Forms. 
  • To manage the WIFI bandwidth provided by the hotel for both guests and administrative department usage. To ensure experience is of high standard and minimizes complaints. 
  • To provide courteous and professional service and to maintain good working relationship with all hotel associates. 
  • Maintain an inventory of equipment and software 
  • Supervise work of IT Clerk
  • Ensure cabling, hardware and software as per Rosewood guidelines. 
  • Monitor data security – virus protection and firewalls, restrictions in access to Hotel Systems and Computer Equipment, Computer Room designed as per Rosewood guidelines. 
  • Provide technical expertise in evaluation of Suppliers and acceptance of delivery of IT equipment purchased. 
  • Maintain Memorandum Records on maintenance schedules/ warranties, and ensure compliance by Suppliers. 
  • Coordinate with Users and evaluate custom-built software provided by Vendors before payment/purchase 
  • Monitor all IT related training schedules for both IT and other Users in the Hotel. 
  • Business Knowledge – Maintains an expert understanding of the property’s business needs, methodologies, strategies and upcoming projects. Keep current with property, competitors and like industry uses of technology. 
  • Problem Solving – Identifies, analyzes, organizes and solve issues creatively, effectively and quickly. 
  • Knowledge – Understands IR technology standards, platforms and directions. Maintains a working understanding of technology trends, particularly in the lodging industry as well as aware of systems development methods and tools that are available. 
  • Support – Provides first and second level support to property IR associates for technical problem. Conduct equipment performance audits and provides recommendation for performance improvement. 
  • Productivity Enhancement – Increases productivity through encouraging process improvements using the property IT infrastructure.  
  • Ongoing Configuration Maintenance – Performs maintenance that eliminates security risks, set appropriate local area network system access that provides dissemination of duties. Communicates to the appropriate department managers when the responsible department has not performed system configuration and/or maintenance. 
  • IR Policy – Adheres to, communicates and enforces IR policies and standards protecting company hardware, software and other resources.

Job requirement

  • Degree or diploma in computer science or software management 
  • Others professional certification such as Oracle OCA/OCP/OCM, Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCIE will be added advantage. 
  • At least 3 years hotel system and related IT experience
