Job Description

  1. Quotation Handling
    • Receive quotation requests from Sales or customers.
    • Contact agents or shipping lines to obtain competitive import rates.
    • Compare at least three quotations and update the shared pricing file.
  2. Booking & Documentation
    • Arrange bookings and follow up with shippers on cargo readiness.
    • Request draft B/Ls from agents and update customers on shipment schedules.
    • Monitor vessel movements, confirm shipment details, and send final B/Ls to customers.
    • Send pre-alerts to the documentation team, verify debit notes from agents, and ensure telex/original B/L release.
  3. Arrival Notice & Payment Coordination
    • Ensure all steps after cargo arrival are handled smoothly:
      sending arrival notices, coordinating warehouse handling, payment, and EDO issuance.
    • For customs clearance shipments: transfer EDO to logistics team and follow up on declaration, clearance, and delivery.
  4. Issue Resolution
    • Monitor and resolve issues arising during loading/unloading or shipment transit.
  5. Document Management & Reporting
    • Submit documents (B/L, invoice, etc.) to Accounting as required.
    • Manage shipments under assigned Sales accounts and import consol boxes.
    • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports to the Manager.

Job requirement

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Business, Foreign Trade, or related fields.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Import Customer Service or similar roles in the freight forwarding industry.
  • Solid understanding of logistics operations and international shipping processes.
  • Good command of English (both spoken and written).
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, and Internet applications.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong customer service mindset and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Honest, responsible, proactive, and team-oriented.
