• The quality assurance and automation teams at GrabPay organization are responsible for feature testing, test framework adoption and development, automation & capacity testing across multiple software teams and improving quality in all aspects of the development process.

Get to know the Role:

• We are looking for a Head of Quality Engineering with strong experience in automated testing of native mobile apps (iOS and Android) & Web browser applications, with experience in backend API testing best practices and frameworks to deliver high quality applications in a fast-paced agile environment. You will own and scale the team that will plan, design, and execute tests that focus not only on the functional features, but also performance characteristics of the mobile apps and backend APIs that power it.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the leadership team to define a vision for continuous mobile application testing utilizing automated technologies for delivering fast feedback to developers

• Lead your team, defining and establishing the automation platform technologies that will power mobile applications and web applications for GrabPay functionalities

• Work closely with Grab’s ecosystem of Test Automation products and adapt them to suit GrabPay’s requirements

• Establish best practices for Upstream testing of both mobile apps and backend APIs and adopt tools to enforce the high benchmarks organically

• Impact Release velocity: Drive systematic changes in adoption of upstream testing and high functional automation coverage, that will help bring down Mobile app and web application regression times.

• Lead the continuous improvement of mobile software development and delivery practices as well as drive cross-team adoption of best-in-class engineering practices and workflows

• Hire & Groom the best talent : Hire top talent in Quality Engineering org and continuously develop them to excel at highest standards through inspiring, coaching and mentoring on regular basis. Build a layer of highly talented Quality Engineering Managers to create a sustainable high performance culture.

• Evaluate and introduce new mobile automation technologies and continuous deployment practices; help Grab mobile engineers push the boundaries of what is possible from a mobile platform perspective

• Manage the activities of mobile and web application automation engineers, team leads, managers and other stakeholders to align to and execute against these plans

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in computer science or equivalent work experience

• Passion and demonstrated excellence in impacting quality and testing efficacy across backend, web and mobile products.

• Bring best practices to the function. Collaborate with Development, Product, Devops and Tech Support teams to bake in the Quality function all across the SDLC

• Demonstrated Passion for building lean, high performance teams that consistently punch above their weight.

• Inspire, lead and mentor Quality Engineers and develop the Quality Engineering organization into a fully Engineering-driven organization.

• Strive for best-in-class automation framework and test code. Deliver readable, maintainable and robust automation code that helps drive engineer productivity up

• Strong understanding of common software development and delivery methodologies; experienced in agile delivery

• Working experience with one or more development languages and mobile frameworks; Java, Javascript, GoLang, Appium, Selenium Webdriver, Webdriver.io, ReactJS

Nice to Have

• Framework and Automation Platform Infrastructure building experience

• Good understanding of latest mobile and web automation technologies like Webdriver.io
