Get to know the Role:
- Handles all safety-related matters in the country. This means working in cross-functional teams and with external partners on projects, business processes, policies and product features affecting safety.
- You will also help track safety metrics and hence support the country management with safety insights and advisory.
- Lead on physical security matters to protect the safety of Grabbers/Customers/Passengers/Drivers, and of the company assets.
- Lastly, you may represent Grab during safety campaigns/events; and be deployed as liaison officer dealing with media/ regulators/ injured parties during incident management.
The day-to-day activities:
- Lead the lean safety function in your country;
- Be responsible for operational safety in the country, including company staff, assets and operations
- Steer leadership and management teams along the organization’s safety mission and principles;
- Implement internal and external user safety policies and processes;
- Proactively identify, prevent, mitigate, and (if required), respond and manage potential and actual threats directed towards staff, company assets or operations
- Audit current safety measures and conduct threat assessments as required
- Evaluation, onboarding and management of safety for contractors.
- Understand the respective country’s business objectives and provide safety advisory and solutioning;
- Engage the product team to continually innovate on the safety features of app;
- Actively monitor the safety KPIs within your country and develop early preventive measures;
- Develop and implement safety training program for country team
- Develop safety training content and programs targeted at driver partners;
- Create a safety audit roadmap premising on industry best practices and recommendations from safety accreditation bodies;
- Be a passionate advocate for road safety for both users and drivers.

- Minimally bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in related job.
- Vietnamese speaker with strong command of English
- An analytical mindset with ability to present and execute on actionable findings;
- Critically understand quantitative and qualitative patterns that are associated with safety trends;
- An ability to develop a variety of complex policies and procedures with minimal guidance to prevent and mitigate safety risks;
- Strategic mindset in thinking about the bigger picture and how we can improve as a company;

- Possess excellent problem solving/decision making, communication and interpersonal skills;
- A strong judgment and moral compass;

Additional Job Description:
- Law or traffic regulatory, safety/ crisis/ risk management background;
- Experience in engaging across Asian markets and cultures;
- Direct experience in implementing and managing physical and information security systems a plus
- Experienced with business continuity principles and crisis management procedures
- Experience in industry and governmental regulations, and develop strong relationships with law enforcement, government or private sector counterparts;
- Good working knowledge of safety management practices and principles
