Grab began as a taxi-hailing app in 2012, but has extended its product platform to include private car services (GrabCar), motorcycle taxis (GrabBike), social carpooling (GrabHitch) and last mile delivery (GrabExpress). Grab is focused on pioneering new commuting alternatives and for drivers and passengers with an emphasis on speed, safety and reliability. The Company currently offers services in Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam
The day-to-day activities:
- Build the entire operation plan including defining key KPIs and the launch plans
- Responsible for scaling up operations within the country.
- Leveraging business data to address latent demand and plan resourcing / assets accordingly.
- Managing vendors, ensuring compliance to govt regulations and Grab policies
- Process development and improvement
- Build, lead and coach the team to grow them into leaders.
- Build a culture that strongly aligns with Grab’s Vision, Mission and Principles
- Be a servant leader; Lead by example
The must haves:
- Minimum 5 years of work experience with 3 years in a managerial capacity
- Experience in running a start-up (with on-ground operations) as the founder preferred.
- High degree of comfort with data.
- Able to manage both junior operational staff as well as business stakeholders.
- Prior experience in Operations preferred.
- Prepared to be hands-on when the situation calls for it
- Adaptable; Enjoys working in a fast-paced, fast-changing environment
- Strong motivator and collaborator
- Strong planning, execution and coordination skills
- Excellent leadership, management, problem solving, negotiations, interpersonal and communications skills
