Manage, inspire and grow plastic manufacturing engineers, mold tool engineer, production staff and workers.
Be key member of the leadership team and an integral part of helping the company achieve short-term production targets and longer term growth and sustainability goals.
Monitor and manage the work assignments and personnel for the Tool Room and Plastic Manufacturing Engineering department.
Coordinate and implement standard processes for tooling, molding, and process controls. Calculate and set standard time and goals.
Direct and coordinate planning and scheduling of molding manufacturing with the production manager and production planner to consistently meet expected product delivery schedules and inventory levels.
Ensure the resources for manufacturing are effectively utilized, and materials are planned at the right time to fit the work schedules.
Ensure proper administration of quality control procedures.
Constantly monitor actual quality performances with established standards and act on the difference.Establish and maintain a statistical system to monitor process data.
Monitor production efficiency with the target to continuously improve it.
Examine the existing- and propose new production methods such as automation or better machinery or equipment for the production to achieve higher work efficiency and product quality.
Monitor and manage the inventory of the Tool Room, including perishable tooling, mold and die components, operating supplies, and capital expenditures.
Enhance cooperation of all members belonging to injection molding section to act as team.
Provide support to engineers/supervisors in solving human related- and supervisory problems.
Lead project management of work taking place at outside vendors.
Monitor and assist with the establishment of tool samples and design experiments for new and existing molds.
Coordinate and manage the tooling demands and requirements for the manufacturing facility and support the molding operations.
Plan plant layout for new production equipment/ line, if any.
Ensure that the plant facilities and equipment are properly maintained and are running at maximum efficiency and quality.
Ensure molding staff carry out company policies, safety and labor rules and regulations.
Assist personnel department in selection of manpower, recruitment of staff, introduction and training of staff.
Liaise with Management on formulation of personnel policies with regard to manpower planning, recruitment, grievances handling and discipline enforcement.
Liaise with HR in organizing of employee welfare and other tasks to improve occupational health and work safety.
Plan and organize, direct and control the functions of procuring, developing, maintaining and utilizing the labor force effectively to achieve the company objectives.
Propose to the HR incentive scheme for worker and Molding staff.
Ensure high hygienic standards in the factory.
Carry out other duties as and when required by the Managing Director.
10 years of engineering experience at Hitech (Electrical -Electronics)/ Medical Device.
Understand plastic injection techniques.
Know how to operate plastic injection machines originating from Japan and EU.
