Get to know the role:

 As the Head of Commercial, you will be responsible for establishing and managing strong business relationships with existing and potential key enterprise restaurant/merchant partners nationally to drive growth for Grab Philippines across all its key verticals like GrabFood, GrabPay, GrabAds, etc. You will be building valuable and long-lasting partnerships with Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) and large F&B chains. You will define joint business plans, drive projects/deals end-to-end from closure to execution and maintain key relationships at senior levels of the Enterprise merchant portfolio. You will be exposed to business elements such as lead generation, creative and data-based negotiations, account management, and other strategic sales-based initiatives.

The day-to-day activities:

- Serve as a key member of the Grab Philippines leadership team, defining the current landscape, strategizing, and executing top business development/partnership opportunities.

- Plan out priority partners to pursue, in line with overall Grab strategy

- Strategise on partnership model and content, with help of internal data

- Set the overall strategy for the commercial team and revenue targets for each team member

- Engage prioritised partners for discussion, structuring and negotiation

- Joint business planning with partners to map out the roadmap of initiatives

- Work closely with internal product, operations and marketing teams to execute deals and initiatives

- Engage with Partnership counterparts in leading F&B brands

- Collaborate with country BD team to align on strategy and partnership targets

- Track and analyze KPIs related to all initiatives and quickly build countermeasures closely working with cross-functional and cross country teams.

- Continuously develop initiatives that are customer-centric (merchants/users) by representing the voice of the customer in all initiatives with the aim of improving lives.

- Ensure all initiatives meet strategic and financial objectives of the company.

- Support to build and maintain a high performing team with a best in class team culture.

- Proactively work with all regional business development teams to craft and share best practices, efficiently using common resources.

- Continuously assist in the development of an arsenal of core tools and capabilities to enable all business development teams.​

The must haves:

- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in any field (preferably in business, management or marketing), an MBA is a plus. ​

- Minimum 7 years of experience in dealing with major brands is a must. Of great importance is experience in structuring collaboration terms, securing deals and program managing deals to execution

- Must have managed a high-performing team

- Must have been able to deliver results in a revenue/sales-driven role, or in forging and managing strategic partnerships

- Previous experience as a Senior Manager or higher 

- Preferred Industry Backgrounds: Major local conglomerates, multinational FMCG, - Management Consulting, Telecommunications, E-Commerce, Investment - Banking/Finance/Fintech, F&B industry background is an advantage

- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English

- Microsoft Office skills are required (MS. Excel, MS. Word and MS. Powerpoint)

- A highly independent individual with excellent team-working skills

- Ability to build good relationships with partners and match partners’ needs and organisation resources to grow the Grab business

- Ability to fuse business, strategy, finance and legal concepts to lead complex, multi-faceted deals

- Energetic, enthusiastic and calm even in a dynamic and fast paced environment

- Excellent time management and communication skills with excellent leadership skills
