Get to know the Role:
- Generate, lead and manage strategic partnerships, merchant acquisition, special projects and new businesses to primarily help Singapore Operations achieve its business objectives.
- Have the business acumen to identify new business opportunities and revenue streams from existing and new partnerships.
- To secondarily support Regional Business Development in a similar capacity.
- Be part of the Country Leadership team to assist Country Head in running Singapore Operations.

The day-to-day activities:
Strategy & Planning:
- Design data-driven strategies to provide direction for the team.
Strategic Partnerships
- Have business acumen to extract business value & revenue streams from existing partnerships.
- Independently source for partnership leads, and manage a leads pipeline.
- Structure deals and build business cases to justify investing into a partnership.
- Lead and close negotiations with strategic partners, potentially coordinating across departments.
- Lead relationship management with strategic partners and be the lead representative at the C-suite level on behalf of the business.
Special Projects & New Businesses
- Independently manage a project P&L, operations and project team.
- Build business case for potential new businesses.
Merchant Acquisition
- Manage several merchant acquisition teams, supporting merchant acquisition across different business verticals.
- Set up merchant acquisition processes, including lead generation, sales, sales support, sales operations, sales funnel management.
Customer
- Independently and amiably handle partnership disputes.
- Conduct business negotiations and presentations with partners anywhere along an organisation’s hierarchy.
Financial
- Manage the team’s budgets effectively and expenditure forecasting.
People
- Set and manage team culture and morale, in line with Grab’s principles.
- Manage and track professional and personal development goals of direct reports.
- Mentor and coach direct reports to achieve better performance and achieve career goals.
The must haves:
- Minimum of 5-6 years full-time working experience with prior leadership experience
- University degree.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Business modelling on Excel
- Data Analysis, including using Pivot Tables, on Excel
- Design effective PowerPoint presentations
- People manager of at least 2-3 direct reports and part of a management team previously
