The Singapore Operations team oversees, shapes and grows the business in Grab Singapore. We contribute towards Grab’s vision of being Southeast Asia’s superapp by providing everyday services that matter most to consumers in Singapore. We develop and execute business strategies that help us achieve our vision in serving our community.
As part of the Singapore Operations team, the GrabFood team looks at connecting Singapore eaters and customers to the vast array of merchants (from the familiar favorites to the up and coming stars) within our sunny island-home of Singapore, through our many delivery-partners.
Get to know the Role:
In a span of a few months, Grab launched 6 GrabFood Hubs across the island, delivering everything from popular Michelin hawker food to dangerously addictive Irvins’ fish skins right to our customer’s doorstep in under 30 mins. The Hubs team is a lean team today, and think of it as working on a startup team within a startup where you will wear many hats. As Growth, Assistant Manager, you will be entrusted at looking at the Hubs business end-to-end from strategy, marketing, analytics and expansion to accelerate the growth of this vertical. You are someone comfortable with ambiguity and an array of responsibilities - Analyst, Business Development, Marketing, and overall problem solver - and not one who shies away from a challenge.
GrabFood Hub is on a mission to deliver both food and products, loved by Singaporeans, to corners of the island that are under-served today.
The day-to-day activities:
Serve as overall lead for GrabFood Hubs and own both P&L and growth targets
Own the weekly performance of the business including deliveries, fulfilment, and customer experience
Manage and improve each hubs site efficiency and costs
Perform a broad range of quantitative and qualitative analyses to evaluate opportunities and effectiveness of campaigns
End-to-end deal management and account management
Ability to work with cross-functional teamwork with Grab’s other teams, including Product, Strategy, Business Development, and Ops.
Roll up your sleeves and play a key role role in driving operational excellence
The must haves:
A degree from a top tier university
Minimum 5 years of experience in P&L, analytics, or a leadership role in a startup
An exceptional track record of driving growth and taking concepts to market
Management consulting or other analytically heavy experience preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent ability to build consensus and support across different internal functions and external stakeholders
A passion for Food and Technology
Ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Knowledge of Programming and Reporting (SQL, Tableau) would be a plus
