Position: General Ledger Accountant
Department: Finance & Accounting
Location: BRVT, Vietnam
Reports to: Financial Manager
Status: Full-time
Contract: 8 months (with potential for long-term opportunity as Ashton expands)
Number of Subordinates: None
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Verify documents to ensure sufficiency and accuracy of payments in compliance with company regulations.
Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable to ensure no overdue balances.
Record expenses on time to ensure all transactions are properly reflected in the ledger with the correct nature and department.
Issue invoices to customers.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting sub-ledgers, ensuring all required items are posted in a timely manner.
Support documentation and transition of general ledger activities.
Perform ad-hoc tasks and job rotation as assigned by the Head of Department. Note: Job responsibilities may evolve as the company grows.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
Ability to communicate in English (speaking and writing).
Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable and Tax regulations.
Knowledge:
Vietnam accounting standards and practices, including taxation.
Ability to identify and resolve accounting issues.
Proficiency in computerized accounting software; ERP knowledge is a plus.
