General Accountant (R&D Office – Full-Scope)

Job Purpose:

To support RD on Financial and Accounting activities

Job Duties:

• Manage all accounting activities of the R&D office with around 50 staff.
• Handle day-to-day bookkeeping, cost allocation, and general ledger entries in accordance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and company policy.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable, perform bank reconciliations, and ensure timely payments to vendors and staff (e.g., reimbursements, advances).
• Coordinate and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for local submission and internal use.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and relevant government departments as required.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations (VAT, PIT, CIT), and manage related declarations.
• Support budget planning and cost control for the R&D office.
• Coordinate with HR regarding payroll accounting, insurance contributions, and statutory reporting.
• Work with Group/Parent company finance teams on consolidation, intercompany billing, and periodic reporting.
• Manage document filing, accounting records, and support any internal control or audit initiatives.

Experience Required

·         Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related fields.

·         At least 3–5 years of experience as a general accountant or chief accountant in a small-to-medium sized company or branch office.

·         Solid knowledge of VAS, tax regulations, and local compliance practices.

·         Experience in accounting software (e.g., MISA, Fast, SAP, or equivalent).

·         Strong attention to detail, sense of responsibility, and good organizational skills.

·         Able to work independently and handle full-scope accounting for a branch office.

·         Basic English communication, especially for email and reporting to international teams.

·         Holding a Chief Accountant Certificate is a plus.
