Get to know the role:
You will drop into a new city and establish and operate GrabKitchens, formulate strategy, key initiatives for the new market. You will dive deep to understand the food community, merchant, driver partners and consumer sides of the business and provide recommendations to improve key metrics of the business. You should be comfortable in new environments, highly entrepreneurial and executional.
The day-to-day activities:
- Serve as the pioneer for market entry, doing the groundwork and research in preparation for GrabKitchen launch
- Identify the opportunities and challenges of your markets especially with regards to the identification, acquisition, and management of our merchant partners in GrabKitchen
- Work closely with the central GrabKitchen and city GrabFood team to ensure a hyperlocal yet consistent execution of the various aspects required for a successful GrabKitchen launch
- Recruit, train, and work with a team of passionate people from various disciplines to grow the business
- Excellent people skills to work with all business stakeholders, other cross-functions, and manage junior team members
- Data-driven decision mentality with strong analytical thinking, as well as hands-on ownership. Experienced in interpreting quantitative findings into action plans
- Manage end-to-end projects; identifying issues, gathering information, analysing data to generate insights about the market and improving the business profitability
- Push boundaries and work on uncharted challenges
Key requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience working in Management Consulting / Business Intelligence / Market Research / investment banking / e-commerce
- Advanced written and spoken English/ Bahasa
- Love solving problems and thrives in a constantly changing and evolving environment and role
- Self motivated & result-oriented individual who has achieved ambitious goals in the past
