Get to know our Team:
The Vietnam Engineering team is newly established engineering development center based in District 7, Ho Chi Minh. Our team is passionate about solving business challenges using the latest technology. We work closely with operation teams on the ground to understand areas where we can make use of our technical capabilities to help driving business forwards.

Get to know the Role:
As an Engineering Manager, you will be driving your teams to out-serve Grab’s customers. Therefore, your high-quality delivery is vital to Grab and our community. Every ‘Grabber’ is equally important and has the ability to directly impact Grab’s success. You will draw on your proven track record to lead, manage, motivate, and grow the team.


The day-to-day activities:

  • You will oversee, manage and develop project teams.
  • You will provide estimation and handle resource management, preparing the plans and roadmaps for the project teams.
  • You will train and grow your teams and use your eye for talent to hire a talented team of Engineers to ensure capabilities are developed and resources are aligned to support the growth.
  • You will work closely with business operation teams, understand areas of improvement and optimization and help driving the teams towards accomplishing business targets.

The must-haves:

  • A Degree in computer science, software engineering or information technology
  • A strong leader, with at least 8-10 years significant people management experience.
  • Proven record of building efficient teams in a fast-changing environment, preferably worked in several startup companies.
  • An engineer at heart who is passionate about putting technology in helping business operations and driving change to improve growth.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and work effectively across the ​organization.
  • Strong native and English command in both conversational and business situations.
