Engineer, System

The day-to-day activities:

a. Managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure to ensure structural integrity
b. Installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools
c. Ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
d. Monitor systems for security breaches, through the use of software that detects intrusions and anomalous system behavior
e. Develop an automated system for monitoring, deployment, logging, and backup
f. Routinely test installed software for glitch detection and other issues
g. Write custom scripts to reduce the need for human intervention

The must haves:

a. Virtualization technologies (Iaas, SaaS, and PaaS)

b. Secure network architectures

c. Subnetting, DNS, encryption technologies and standards, VPNs, VLANs and other network routing methods

d. Network and web related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS, routing protocols, etc.)

e. Have experienced using AWS min. 2 years.

f. Experienced with NginX, Kubernetes, and Container

g. Strong background on Linux

h. Proficiency in 1 programming languages (Python)

i. Have experienced using Automations Tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef Opscode).

j. Have experienced Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
