The day-to-day activities:

a. Help build infrastructure and deployment automation tools, to better automate with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) process and help spread DevOps practices to all engineering team.
b. Create and maintain the end-to-end automated application delivery across DevOps tool chains and cloud platform.
c. Collaborate with developers to bring new features and services into production.
d. Provide support to development teams that use the automated infrastructure.
e. Provide an extremely reliable environment that is fully automated and free from obstacles. ​

The must haves:

a. Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration
b. Experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Chef or an equivalent
c. Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (experience with AWS is required)
d. Strong experience with SQL and MySQL (NoSQL experience is a plus, too, since we also use Redis)
e. A working understanding of code and script (PHP, Python, Perl and/or Ruby)

f. Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
