Main Responsibilities

  •  Advise and coach People Operations teams and people managers on a range of people policies and complex formal cases, whilst balancing business needs and compliance with local employment legislation.
  • Advise on and support on a safe & respectful workplace in Grab.
  • Ensure effective and timely case management in accordance with applicable policies and processes.
  • Manage the case cycle - from initial discussions on the issues with the complainant to investigation; report findings for review by Remediation Committee. 
  • Carry out investigations, within defined scope and in line with policies, collecting and testing evidence where necessary and completing such investigations within timelines as may be set from time to time.
  • Write comprehensive investigation reports, ascertaining whether there is a case to answer, presenting reports to the Remediation Committee so that they can make their decision on the outcome.
  • Support and advice Remediation Committee on the scope of the investigation (to include witnesses and parties involved to be interviewed; area of investigation to be conducted; evidence to be gathered (meetings/documents etc);  timelines for investigation; how the process will be handled.
  • Record and monitor cases & trends and hold periodic reviews with Regional Remediation Committee.   
  • Attend update meetings, briefings, seminars and ad-hoc working groups as appropriate, to ensure his/her knowledge is up to date
  • Organise shared learning events to ensure best practices.
  • Provide a range of solutions and accurate advice to resolve complex cases.
  • Develop best practices and innovative approaches to conflict resolution - resolving matters of conflict at
  • the earliest opportunity and engage in an independent mediation role where appropriate. 

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent working knowledge of the Grab Safe & Respectful Workplace Policy and Procedures, and Disciplinary action guidelines, and ability to interpret these policy, procedures and guidelines  ‘in the moment’.
  • Familiar with country unique legislated guidelines pertaining to harassment. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - able to build a rapport with people going through difficult situations at work.
  • Excellent problem solving abilities.
  • Can work to tight deadlines, juggling multiple priorities and managing time effectively.
  • Present and communicate information in a succinct and engaging way across all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to maintain neutrality and impartiality whilst immersing oneself in the details.
  • Ability to interpret information, assess facts and make findings based on different and conflicting  versions of events.
  • Ability to quickly reach judgment on relevance of information gathered throughout the course of investigations.
  • Excellent practical knowledge and skills in using a range of software packages, including Google suite. 
  • Excellent report writing and interview skills.
  • Proactively shares learning and best practices from cases with relevant stakeholders.
